SENATOR GILL REPRESENTING NEW JERSEY AT 2004 DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL CONVENTION
BOSTON - Senator Nia H. Gill said today that she is proud to be representing New Jersey at the 2004 Democratic National Convention here this week.
"It is truly an honor to be a representative for change in our country's leadership when change is so desperately needed," said Senator Gill, D-Essex and Passaic . "Too many American residents have been left drowning because of poor choices made by our current President. I'm pleased to be in Boston this week to help turn the tides."
Senator Gill is representing New Jersey as a Pledged Party Leader and Elected Officials (PLEO) Delegate for the Democratic National Convention, which is taking place July 26-29 here. According to convention planners, the 4-day convention is focused on the Kerry-Edwards team's vision for a nation which is "stronger at home and respected in the world."
"John Kerry and John Edwards are going to give New Jersey residents and residents across America the strength of leadership and vision that are needed to run this country at home and improve our relations internationally," said Senator Gill. "I have every confidence in the New Jersey delegation's selection and I look forward to the election of an American President and Vice-President who truly care about the needs of all New Jersey residents."
